1. Uvod

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, configuration, and operation of your ASUS B650E MAX Gaming WiFi W AM5 ATX Motherboard. This motherboard is designed to support AMD Ryzen 9000, 8000, and 7000 Series Desktop Processors, offering advanced features for high-performance computing.

3. Postavljanje i instalacija

Before installing the motherboard, ensure your system is powered off and unplugged. Always handle the motherboard by its edges to avoid static discharge.

3.1. CPU Installation (AMD AM5 Socket)

Carefully align your AMD Ryzen processor with the AM5 socket. Ensure the triangular mark on the CPU matches the mark on the socket. Gently lower the CPU into the socket and secure it with the retention lever.

3.2. Memory (DDR5) Installation

This motherboard supports DDR5 memory modules. Open the clips at both ends of the DIMM slot. Align the memory module with the slot, ensuring the notch on the module matches the key in the slot. Press down firmly on both ends of the module until the clips snap into place.

3.3. Storage Device Installation (M.2 SSDs)

The motherboard features multiple M.2 slots, including a PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot. To install an M.2 SSD, remove the M.2 heatsink (if present), insert the SSD into the slot at an angle, and then gently push it down. Secure it using the provided M.2 Q-Latch mechanism or screw.

Insert your PCIe 5.0 x16 graphics card into the primary PCIe slot. Ensure it is fully seated and secured with the retention clip and any case screws.

3.5. Povezivanje perifernih uređaja i napajanja

Connect all necessary power cables (24-pin ATX, 8-pin CPU, etc.), SATA devices, front panel connectors, USB devices, and the Wi-Fi antenna to the rear I/O panel.

4. Uputstvo za upotrebu

4.1. Početno pokretanje i podešavanje BIOS-a/UEFI-ja

Upon first power-on, the system will enter the BIOS/UEFI interface. Use the keyboard to navigate. The EZ Mode provides an overview of system status, while Advanced Mode offers detailed configuration options for CPU, memory, storage, and peripherals.

4.2. Instalacija drajvera

After installing your operating system, install the necessary drivers. ASUS provides the Armory Crate software, which can automatically detect and install drivers for your motherboard components, including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. An initial wired internet connection may be required to download Armory Crate and other drivers.

6.2. BIOS FlashBack

If a BIOS update fails or you encounter boot issues, the BIOS FlashBack feature allows you to update the BIOS without a CPU or memory installed. Simply download the BIOS file od ASUS-a website, rename it as specified in the manual, place it on a USB drive, and insert it into the designated BIOS FlashBack USB port. Press the BIOS FlashBack button to initiate the update.

6.3. Unrecognized Storage Drives

If your storage drives are not recognized in the BIOS or operating system, ensure they are properly connected. For older drives, verify that the BIOS settings (e.g., CSM support) are configured correctly. Note that modern motherboards may require drives to be formatted for UEFI boot.
