5.2. Preparing the GoCheck2 Meter
Ensure your GoCheck2 meter has working batteries (CR2032). The meter is designed for no-coding, simplifying your testing routine.

- Insert a new MicroTech GoCheck2 test strip into the test strip port of the GoCheck2 meter. The meter will turn on automatically.
- Prick the side of your fingertip with the prepared lancing device. Gently squeeze your finger to form a small drop of blood.
- Touch the tip of the test strip to the blood drop. The blood will be drawn into the strip automatically. Do not apply blood to the top of the strip.
- The meter will display your blood glucose result in approximately 5 seconds.

7.1. Test Strip Storage
- Store test strips in their original vial with the cap tightly closed.
- Keep strips between 2-35°C (36-95°F) and less than 90% relative humidity. Do not refrigerate.
- Unopened test strips have a shelf life of 24 months.
- Once opened, test strips are valid for 180 days. Discard any remaining strips after this period.
7.2. Lancet Storage and Disposal
- Store lancets in a cool, dry place.
- Always use a new, sterile lancet for each test.
- After use, carefully recap the lancet and dispose of it in an approved sharps container to prevent accidental needle sticks.
