The Sharp QT-CD290 boombox is designed for portable use and operates solely on batteries. It does not include an AC power adapter and cannot be powered directly from a wall outlet.

1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside or rear of the unit.

1. Pritisnite POWER/FUNC button repeatedly until 'CD' or 'MP3' appears on the display.
2. Open the top-loading CD compartment cover.
