1. Enter the transaction amount in the Square Point of Sale app.

4.2 Accepting Chip Card Payments (Dip)

For EMV chip card payments:

1. Enter the transaction amount in the Square Point of Sale app.

3. Instruct the customer to insert their chip card into the slot on the front of the Square Reader, chip-first and face-up.
4. Leave the card in the reader until the transaction is complete and the app prompts you to remove it.
