Feit Electric Smart WiFi Door and Window Sensor

Uvod

Thank you for choosing the Feit Electric Smart WiFi Door and Window Sensor. This device is designed to provide remote monitoring of your doors and windows, sending alerts directly to your Feit Electric app when an opening is detected. This manual will guide you through the installation, setup, operation, and maintenance of your sensor.

Setup

1. Opcije montaže

The sensor can be mounted using either the included screws or the double-sided adhesive tape. Ensure the mounting surface is clean and dry before installation.

1. Press the latch button on the sensor and pull the back plate down to release it.
2. Gently pull the magnet away from its back plate.
3. Align the sensor and magnet back plates on the desired door/window and frame. Mark the screw positions with a pencil.
4. Use the mounting screws to attach the magnet mounting plate to the door or window, and the sensor mounting plate to the frame, or vice versa.

Double-Sided Tape Mounting:

1. Attach the double-sided tape to the bottom of both the sensor and magnet mounting plates.
2. Clean the mounting area thoroughly on the door/window and frame.
3. Attach the magnet mounting plate to the door or window, and the sensor mounting plate to the frame, or vice versa.

Važno: Ensure the gap between the magnet and the sensor is no more than 0.5 inches (1.27 cm) for proper operation. The arrows on the sensor and magnet should align.

2. Instalacija baterije

1. Open the sensor battery compartment.
2. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. If batteries are already present, remove any protective tags.

3. Connecting to the Feit Electric App

Before connecting, ensure your mobile device is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. This device is not compatible with 5 GHz networks.

EZ Mode Connection:

1. Turn on the sensor by pressing the reset button. The LED indicator should rapidly blink blue. If not, press and hold the reset button for at least 10 seconds until it blinks rapidly.
2. Open the Feit Electric app. Choose your desired location and tap "Add Device" or the "+" icon in the upper right corner.
3. Select "Controls & Sensors" then "Door & Window Sensor".
4. Confirm the indicator light is rapidly blinking blue and enter your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network password.

AP Mode Connection (Alternative):

1. If EZ Mode fails, select "AP Mode" in the upper right corner of the "Add Device" menu in the app.
2. Press and hold the reset button on the sensor until the LED indicator slowly blinks blue.
3. In the app, confirm the indicator light is slowly blinking blue and enter your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network password.
4. The app will prompt you to connect to the device's Wi-Fi hotspot. Go to your phone's Wi-Fi settings and connect to the network starting with "SmartLife-XXXX".
5. Return to the Feit Electric app. The connection process will begin. Wait for the device to be added successfully.

Operacija

Once connected, the Feit Electric Smart WiFi Door and Window Sensor will monitor the open/closed status of your door or window. You can view the current status and history directly within the Feit Electric app.

Održavanje

The sensor operates on two AAA batteries. When the battery level is low, you may receive a notification through the Feit Electric app. To replace the batteries:

1. Press the latch button and remove the back plate of the sensor.
2. Carefully remove the old AAA batteries.
3. Umetnite dvije nove AAA baterije, pazeći na ispravan polaritet (+/-).
4. Reattach the back plate to the sensor.

Wipe the sensor and magnet with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the device.

Rješavanje problema

• Sensor not connecting to Wi-Fi:
  • Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4 GHz. The sensor is not compatible with 5 GHz networks.
  • Verify the Wi-Fi password is entered correctly in the app.
  • Make sure the sensor's LED indicator is blinking rapidly (EZ Mode) or slowly (AP Mode) as required by the app. If not, perform a reset by pressing and holding the reset button for 10 seconds.
  • Move the sensor closer to your Wi-Fi router to improve signal strength.
• Sensor not detecting open/closed status:
  • Check that the sensor and magnet are correctly aligned and the gap between them is no more than 0.5 inches (1.27 cm).
  • Verify that the batteries are properly installed and not depleted. Replace if necessary.
