Follow these steps to properly install and configure your HDBaseT HDMI ARC Extender.

4.1. Osnovna veza

1. Connect your HDMI source device (e.g., Blu-ray player, game console) to the HDMI-IN port of the Transmitter (TX) unit using an HDMI 2.0 cable.

4.2. ARC (Audio Return Channel) Setup

The EX70H2 supports ARC for returning audio from your TV to an AV receiver. ARC supports 5.1ch audio only, not Atmos. Ensure your HDMI source, TV, and AV receiver support 5.1ch audio.

1. Ensure your TV's ARC function is enabled.

4.3. SPDIF Audio Return Setup (if TV does not support ARC)

If your TV does not support ARC, you can use the SPDIF optical connection for audio return.

1. Connect an optical cable from your TV's SPDIF OUT port to the SPDIF IN port on the Receiver (RX) unit.

4.4. IR Control Setup

The extender supports bi-directional IR control, allowing you to control the source device from the display location or the display device from the source location.

1. Connect the IR Receiver cable to the IR IN port on the unit where you want to receive IR signals (e.g., Receiver unit near the TV to control the source).
2. Position the IR Receiver eye in a location where it can receive signals from your remote control.

The Transmitter unit features a SCALER switch. When set to "ON", it will down-scale a 4K input signal to 1080P output. This is useful if your display device only supports 1080P.
