This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the safe and efficient installation, operation, and maintenance of your Steinbach Active Balls+ Filter System, model 040386. This non-self-priming pump is designed to maintain crystal-clear water in pools up to approximately 19,000 liters. Setup

Follow these steps for initial setup of your filter system:

4. Connect Pump to Filter Tank: Attach the pump unit to the filter tank using the provided connections. Ensure all seals are properly seated and connections are tightened to prevent leaks. It is recommended to use PTFE tape on threaded connections for a secure seal.
5. Poveži se s bazenom: Connect the pool hoses to the filter system's inlet and outlet ports. The inlet hose typically connects from the pool skimmer/main drain to the pump's suction side, and the outlet hose connects from the filter's return side back to the pool.

Operating the 7-Way Valve

The 7-way valve controls the flow of water through the filter system. Always turn off the pump before changing the valve position.

• FILTER: This is the standard operating position for daily filtration. Water flows from the pool, through the filter balls, and back to the pool.
• POVRATNO PRANJE: Used for cleaning the filter balls. Water flows in reverse through the filter, dislodging trapped debris, and is then directed to waste. Perform backwash when the pressure gauge indicates higher than normal pressure or when water flow decreases.
• ISPIRANJE: Used after backwashing to flush out any remaining debris from the filter and settle the filter balls. Water flows through the filter and is directed to waste.
• OTPAD: Bypasses the filter and sends water directly from the pool to waste. Useful for vacuuming heavy debris directly to waste or lowering the pool water level.
• RECIRCULATE: Circulates water through the pump and back to the pool without passing through the filter. Useful for distributing chemicals quickly.
• ZATVORENO: Shuts off all flow to the filter and pump. Use this position only when the pump is off and for maintenance or when the pool is not in use.
• ZIMITI: (If applicable) Position for draining the system for winter storage. Consult specific winterization instructions.

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your filter system.

• Povratno pranje: Perform backwashing regularly, typically once a week or when the pressure gauge reading increases by 0.2-0.3 bar (3-5 psi) above its clean operating pressure.

  2. Set the 7-way valve to "BACKWASH".
  3. Turn on the pump and run until the water in the sight glass (if present) runs clear (approx. 2-3 minutes).
  4. Isključite pumpu.
  5. Set the 7-way valve to "RINSE".
  6. Turn on the pump and run for 30-60 seconds.
  7. Isključite pumpu.
  8. Set the 7-way valve back to "FILTER".
  9. Turn on the pump to resume normal filtration.
• Cleaning Filter Balls: The filter balls can be cleaned manually or in a washing machine (in a laundry bag) at 30°C (86°F) without fabric softener. Replace filter balls when they show signs of significant wear or reduced filtration efficiency.
