Uvod

Thank you for choosing the Rega Planar 2 Turntable. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, and maintaining your new turntable to ensure optimal performance and longevity. The Planar 2 is designed to deliver high-fidelity audio reproduction from your vinyl collection, featuring a new RB220 tonearm, a glass platter, and a pre-installed Carbon cartridge.

Follow these steps to set up your Rega Planar 2 Turntable:

1. Plasman

Place the turntable plinth on a firm, level surface, ideally on a dedicated audio rack or a sturdy shelf. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for ventilation and operation.

2. Instalacija tanjira

1. Carefully place the 10mm Optiwhite glass platter onto the sub-platter spindle. Ensure it sits flush and rotates freely.

3. Tonearm and Cartridge Setup (RB220 Tonearm with Carbon Cartridge)

The RB220 tonearm features an automatic bias setting, simplifying setup. The Carbon cartridge is pre-installed.

1. Remove the stylus guard from the Carbon cartridge.
2. Slide the counterweight onto the rear stub of the tonearm.
3. Adjust the counterweight until the tonearm floats freely and is perfectly balanced horizontally. This is the zero-tracking force position.
4. Once balanced, carefully push the counterweight inwards towards the pivot until it aligns with the recommended tracking force for the Carbon cartridge (typically 2g). The RB220's automatic bias will compensate for this setting.

4. Povezivanje sa AmpLifier/Pre-amplifier

The Rega Planar 2 does not have a built-in phono pre-amplifier. You will need an external phono stage or an amplifier with a dedicated "Phono" input.

1. Connect the RCA cables from the turntable to the "Phono" input on your amplifier or external phono pre-amplifier.
2. Connect the ground wire (if present) from the turntable to the ground terminal on your amplifier or phono pre-amplifier.
3. Connect the power supply to the turntable and then plug it into a wall outlet.

1. Uključivanje / isključivanje napajanja

Locate the power switch on the underside of the plinth, typically on the left front corner. Flip the switch to turn the turntable on or off. The platter will begin to spin when powered on.

2. Reprodukcija ploče

1. Place a record on the felt mat, ensuring it is centered on the spindle.
2. Unlock the tonearm from its rest.

3. Changing Playback Speed (33 1/3 RPM to 45 RPM)

The Rega Planar 2 requires manual speed change:

1. Turn off the turntable power.
2. Carefully remove the glass platter and felt mat.
3. Locate the drive belt around the motor pulley and sub-platter.
4. To change from 33 1/3 RPM to 45 RPM, move the drive belt to the larger diameter groove on the motor pulley.
5. To change from 45 RPM to 33 1/3 RPM, move the drive belt to the smaller diameter groove on the motor pulley.
6. Replace the glass platter and felt mat.
7. Turn on the turntable power.

4. Dust Cover Usage

The included dust cover protects the turntable from dust and debris. It can be lifted and removed if desired during playback or setup. Ensure the dust cover is closed when the turntable is not in use.

• Cleaning the Plinth and Dust Cover: Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to wipe the plinth and dust cover. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp Može se koristiti krpa, a zatim suha krpa. Izbjegavajte abrazivna sredstva za čišćenje ili rastvarače.
