1. Uvod
The Tekpower DT830B is a compact and reliable digital multimeter designed for basic electrical measurements. It features a large LCD display and is capable of measuring DC voltage, AC voltage, DC current, resistance, diode forward voltage, and transistor hFE. This manual provides detailed instructions for safe and effective use of your multimeter.

2. Sigurnosne informacije
WARNING: To avoid electrical shock or damage to the meter, do not exceed the maximum input limits. Always remove test leads before opening the case for battery or fuse replacement.
- Always ensure the multimeter is set to the correct range before making a measurement.

6. Podešavanje
6.1. Instalacija baterije
The DT830B multimeter requires a 9V battery (NEDA 1604 or 6F22 type). To install or replace the battery:
- Ensure the multimeter is turned OFF and all test leads are disconnected from the input jacks.
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the unit (refer to Figure 2.1).
- Remove the screw(s) securing the cover and carefully lift it off.
- Spojite 9V bateriju na držač baterije, pazeći na ispravan polaritet.

6.2. Povezivanje ispitnih vodova

7. Uputstvo za upotrebu
7.1. Opći rad
- Uključivanje/isključivanje: Rotate the switch from the OFF position to any desired function to turn the meter ON. Rotate back to OFF to turn it OFF.
- Izbor raspona: The DT830B is a manual ranging multimeter. Select a range higher than the expected measurement value. If the value is unknown, start with the highest range and decrease it until a suitable reading is obtained. An 'OL' (Overload) or '1' on the display indicates the range is too low.
7.2. DC Voltage mjerenje (DCV)
- Set the rotary switch to the desired DCV range (e.g., 20V, 200V).
- Connect the black test lead to the COM jack and the red test lead to the VΩmA jack.
- Connect the test leads in parallel across the component or circuit to be measured.

7.3. AC Voltage mjerenje (ACV)
- Set the rotary switch to the desired ACV range (e.g., 200V, 750V).
- Connect the black test lead to the COM jack and the red test lead to the VΩmA jack.

- Disconnect power to the circuit. Break the circuit and connect the meter in series with the load.

7.5. Mjerenje otpora (Ω)
CAUTION: Ensure the circuit under test is completely de-energized before measuring resistance. Do not measure resistance on live circuits.
- Set the rotary switch to the desired Resistance range (e.g., 200Ω, 2kΩ, 2MΩ).
- Connect the black test lead to the COM jack and the red test lead to the VΩmA jack.

7.6. Test diode
- Set the rotary switch to the Diode symbol (▶|).
- Connect the black test lead to the COM jack and the red test lead to the VΩmA jack.

7.7. Transistor (hFE) Test

- Insert the transistor leads (Emitter, Base, Collector) into the corresponding holes in the hFE socket on the multimeter.
- Read the hFE (DC current gain) value on the LCD display.
8. Održavanje
8.1. Zamjena baterije
When the battery symbol appears on the LCD display, the 9V battery needs to be replaced. Follow the steps outlined in Section 6.1.
8.2. Zamjena osigurača
If the meter does not function correctly on current ranges, the fuse may be blown. The DT830B uses a 0.5A/250V fuse for the mA range and an unfused 10A range. To replace the fuse:

- Carefully remove the old fuse and replace it with a new fuse of the same type and rating (0.5A/250V).
