4. Remove Water Pick-up Tube: For thorough cleaning, carefully remove the water pick-up tube from the bottom of the motor housing and soak it in vinegar for 5 minutes. This step is crucial for proper humidistat function.
5. Ispiranje: After soaking, thoroughly rinse the water tank, base, and water pick-up tube with clean, cool water until the smell of vinegar is gone. Ensure no vinegar residue remains.
6. Disinfect (Optional): For disinfection, mix 1 teaspoon of bleach with 1 gallon of water. Fill the tank with this solution and pour some into the base. Let it stand for 20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly until the bleach smell is gone.
