Follow these steps to prepare your Star HPP360 pump for operation.

4.2 Positioning the Pump
- Place the pump on a stable, level surface near the water source.
- Submerge the puddle vac strainer completely in the water to be transferred. Ensure the strainer remains submerged throughout the operation to prevent the pump from running dry.
- Position the discharge hose so that water flows freely to the drainage area without creating a hazard.

This can be done by pouring water into the inlet port before connecting the hose, or by ensuring the inlet hose and strainer are fully submerged before starting.
