1. Uvod

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your SUNSUN HW 702A/B, 703A/B, and 704A/B series external aquarium filters. These filters are designed for efficient multi-layer water purification in various fish tank sizes, ensuring a healthy aquatic environment.

6. Postavljanje i instalacija

6.1 UV Lamp Installation (B models only)

1. Umetnite UV lamp into the designated slot under the lid.
2. Carefully put the quartz glass tube in the direction shown in the figure, ensuring it is securely seated.

Under normal power-on conditions, if the indicator light is on, it indicates that the germicidal lamp is working properly. If the indicator light is off, it means that the UV lamp is broken and needs replacement.

6.2 Filter Media Arrangement

The filter comes with multiple filter baskets. Arrange the original filter material and 7-in-1 filter material as shown in the diagram. The 702 and 703 series use a three-layer filtration system, while the 704 series uses a four-layer system.

6.3 Hose and Inlet/Outlet Assembly

Connect the water intake and outlet pipes to the filter barrel. The inlet and outlet components feature 360° rotation for flexible positioning and a stop switch to control water flow. Ensure the glass thickness for mounting is less than 20mm.

Use the hose locking clasps to secure the hoses. The outlet features a rain outlet design and a replaceable duckbill outlet for varied water dispersion.

7. Operacija

7.1 Početno puštanje u rad (punjenje)

After connecting all pipes and placing the filter barrel below the aquarium, ensure the tank water level is higher than the filter barrel. To prime the filter and remove air:

1. Repeatedly pressurize the air valve without power. At this time, air bubbles will be discharged from the outlet, and some water will be discharged from the inlet.
2. Continue to squeeze the air valve until no more air bubbles emerge. At this point, the impeller and water are in full contact, and the pumping water is circulated.

This push-type pumping mechanism eliminates the need for frequent water injection.

7.2 Uključivanje/isključivanje

Once primed, plug the filter into a suitable power outlet. The filter will begin operating. To turn off, simply unplug the power cord.

7.3 UV Lamp Operation (B models only)

UV lamp is controlled by a separate switch on the filter head. Turn it on for sterilization and algae control. Monitor the LED indicator to ensure it is functioning correctly.

8. Održavanje

8.1 Cleaning Filter Media

1. Disconnect the filter from power.
2. Use the stop switch on the inlet/outlet components to prevent water flow from the aquarium.
3. Detach the hoses and open the upper and lower buckles to access the filter baskets.
4. Remove the filter media and rinse it thoroughly with old aquarium water (not tap water, to preserve beneficial bacteria).
5. Replace heavily soiled or degraded filter media as needed.
6. Reassemble the filter, ensuring all seals are properly seated and buckles are securely fastened.

8.2 Cleaning Impeller and Shaft

The filter features a high-strength, wear-resistant ceramic shaft and a low-loss motor with a permanent magnet rotor. Periodically inspect and clean the impeller and its housing to prevent blockages and maintain efficient water flow.

8.3 UV Lamp Replacement (B models only)

Ako UV lamp indicator LED is off, the UV lamp is broken and needs to be replaced. Follow the installation steps in Section 6.1 to replace the lamp.
