The MINIR3 is a 16A Wi-Fi smart switch, while the S-MATE is a switch mate that enables control without a neutral wire, making it ideal for modifying existing switches into smart scene controllers. This system allows for remote control via the eWeLink app, voice commands through platforms like Alexa, Google Home, and Alice, and supports the creation of smart scenes to automate your appliances.
This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your SONOFF MINIR3 and S-MATE devices.

5. Postavljanje i instalacija
Before proceeding with installation, ensure you have upgraded both the firmware of your devices and the eWeLink APP to the latest version (4.18 or higher).
5.1. Vodič za brzi početak
- Preuzmite aplikaciju eWeLink: Traži "eWeLink" in your app store (Android & iOS) and download the application.
- Wire and Power On: Follow the wiring diagrams provided below to connect your MINIR3 and S-MATE. Once wired, power on the devices.
- Bluetooth uparivanje: Open the eWeLink app, tap "+" and select "Bluetooth pairing". Follow the on-screen prompts in the app to pair your devices.
- Add S-MATE to MINIR3: Within the eWeLink app, add the S-MATE to your MINIR3 as an eWeLink-Remote sub-device.

The MINIR3 and S-MATE offer a "No Neutral Wire" solution, allowing you to retain existing switches and install the devices in switch boxes without a neutral line. The S-MATE is compatible with various switch types, including pulse and rocker switches.

5.2.1. Wiring for Single MINI R3

For a single MINI R3 installation, connect the Live (L) and Neutral (N) wires to the input terminals. Connect the load (e.g., light bulb) to the output terminals (Lout and N).
5.2.2. Wiring for S-MATE with MINI R3

When using S-MATE with MINI R3, the S-MATE connects to your existing wall switch and communicates wirelessly with the MINIR3. The L/L1/L2/L3 terminals on S-MATE are used as terminal blocks for easier installation; leave them out if not needed. The S-MATE does not require a neutral wire as it is battery-powered.
6. Operacija
6.1. Kontrola aplikacije (eWeLink)
Once paired, you can control your MINIR3 and connected devices from anywhere using the eWeLink app on your smartphone or tablet. The app provides real-time sync status of your appliances, allowing you to turn them on/off, set schedules, and monitor their status.

6.2. Upravljanje glasom
The MINIR3 is compatible with popular voice assistants, allowing for hands-free control of your smart devices. Simply connect your eWeLink account to your preferred voice assistant platform.
- Amazon Alexa: "Alexa, turn off the lights."
- Google Home Assistant: "Hey Google, turn on the fan."
- Siri prečice: Use custom Siri shortcuts for quick commands. (Note: MINI R3 does not support Homekit temporarily.)
- Alice: Integrate with Alice for voice commands.

6.3. eWeLink - Daljinski upravljač
The S-MATE acts as an eWeLink-Remote gateway, allowing it to control devices built into the "eWeLink-Remote gateway" (like MINIR3) even when no internet is available. It can also trigger other smart devices in smart scenes via the cloud when internet is present.

6.4. Pametne scene i automatizacija
Leverage the eWeLink app to create custom smart scenes that automate your home based on various triggers and conditions. For example, you can set a scene to turn on lights when a motion sensor is triggered, or adjust a fan based on temperature readings.

7. Održavanje
- Čišćenje: Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Battery Replacement (S-MATE): The S-MATE is powered by a CR2032 button cell battery. Replace the battery when the device's performance degrades or the app indicates low battery. Ensure correct polarity when inserting the new battery.

- No neutral wire in the switch box: The S-MATE is specifically designed for this scenario. It operates on battery power and communicates wirelessly with the MINIR3, eliminating the need for a neutral wire at the switch location.
- Smart switches do not match original decoration styles: By using the S-MATE with your existing physical switches, you can maintain your home's aesthetic while adding smart functionality.
