Setup

The Milton S-506 tire inflator requires connection to an air compressor. Ensure your air compressor is equipped with a 1/4" NPT air inlet for compatibility. No complex assembly is required for the inflator itself.

  1. Ensure your air compressor is turned off and depressurized before connecting.
  2. Connect the 1/4" NPT air inlet of the Milton S-506 to the air hose from your compressor. Ensure a secure connection to prevent air leaks.
  3. Once connected, you may turn on your air compressor. The inflator is now ready for use.

Uputstvo za upotrebu

The Milton S-506 is designed for straightforward operation to inflate and check tire pressures.

  1. Provjera pritiska u gumama:

Press the dual head chuck firmly onto the tire's Schrader valve. The gauge will display the current tire pressure. Read the pressure directly from the magnifying window lens.

  2. Naduvavanje guma:

With the chuck attached to the tire valve, squeeze the trigger on the inflator handle to begin inflating. Monitor the pressure gauge as you inflate. Release the trigger once the desired pressure is reached.

  3. Ispuhavanje guma:

To release air, press the small button or lever located near the trigger (if available) or slightly depress the chuck against the valve without fully engaging the inflation trigger. This will allow air to escape, reducing the tire pressure.

Održavanje

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and accuracy of your Milton S-506 inflator.

  • čišćenje: Keep the inflator clean and free from dirt and debris. Wipe down the body and hose with a clean cloth after each use.
  • Skladištenje: Store the inflator in a dry, clean environment away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
  • Replaceable Cartridges: The gauge and valve cartridges are designed to be replaceable. If you notice a decrease in accuracy or persistent air leaks, consider replacing these components. Contact Milton customer support for genuine replacement parts and instructions.

Rješavanje problema

Evo nekih uobičajenih problema i njihovih rješenja:

  • Air Escaping Through Off-Side of Dual Head Chuck:

If air escapes through the unused side of the dual head chuck when connected to a tire's Schrader valve, it typically indicates that the tire has very low or zero air pressure. The self-sealing valve inside the chuck relies on tire pressure to seal the unused side. To resolve this:

    1. Release the trigger and remove the inflator from the Schrader valve.
    2. Point the straight side of the chuck outlet upwards (away from anyone).
    3. Squeeze the trigger to allow air to flow. Gravity will cause the sealing valve to drop.
    4. While air is still flowing, place the chuck end onto the Schrader valve. Air should then flow into the tire.
  • Netačna očitavanja:

If the gauge provides inconsistent or inaccurate readings, the internal gauge cartridge may need replacement. Ensure the inflator is not dropped or subjected to severe impacts, as this can affect calibration.

  • Air Leaks from Connections:

Check all connections (air inlet, hose to body, chuck to hose) for tightness. Ensure O-rings or seals are intact and not damaged. Replace if necessary.
